The Stilo ST5 R Zero Carbon is a lightweight helmet that has integrated the groundbreaking Stilo “WL” wireless communication system into it, providing clear and concise communication whilst in the heat of competition. This helmet exceeds requirements for the stringent FIA 8860-2018 regulations and can be used in almost any motorsport event.
The ST5 R Zero, along with all the other “Zero” helmets in Stilo’s range has been developed for the most discerning drivers. PURO technology has been used on this helmet, removing the need for a clear coat to be applied to the helmet after the carbon fibre shell has been constructed, leading to a reduction in weight, helping to minimise muscle fatigue.
The intercom system integrated into this helmet is high quality, retaining the Stilo WRC intercom system, however, the comms system has been adapted and redesigned for use with the WL wireless key, which fits nicely without interfering with the FHR posts and straps. The quality of audio is excellent with noise-attenuating ear muffs being used to reduce external noise and provide high levels of comfort. The intercom system is also compatible with traditional Stilo wired amplifiers, eliminating the need to change helmets when driving vehicles that do not have a wireless adaptor.
