The Sparco Prime SP-16.1 race suit from Sparco is manufactured using a triple-layer combination of exceptional Ultra lightweight materials to make it one of the lightest racing suits in the world. The suit is made of Sparco’s latest materials to the highest standards, providing excellent anti-static properties, is used to create the protective double-faced outer layer of the suit. Completely revised for 2019, it has now been optimised in every way possible!
The SP-16.1 has been redesigned with improvements made to the cuffs, zip, epaulettes, stretch panels etc. This has resulted in another decrease in the overall weight of the suit, with a size 52 now coming in at just 740g! This helps reinforce the Prime SP 16.1 as one of the lightest FIA suits on the market.
Fully floating sleeves and stretch panels are included on the race suit to ensure maximum comfort for the wearer, especially during extended periods of use. Shoulder epaulettes are also included on the suit to allow for easy integration with an FHR device.
The latest version now has ultra-thin stitching on all decorative parts and thinner stitching on structural areas gives a flat stitch pattern for improved driver comfort. The outer layer is made of Dupont Nomex comfort fabric which has excellent anti-static properties.
