Thanks to our customer that came down we started testing our various seats in the Mazda MX-5 and these Cobra Monaco Sport bucket seats were a serious winner! The Monaco Sport seats are a narrow version of the Cobra Monaco Pro which makes them perfect for fitting into the MX-5 which its tight cockpit space and even better the seat doesn’t catch on any of the interior trims like some of the other seats which we tried, tested and failed with.

You can then fit the Monaco Sport in 2 different ways. You can retain the existing sliding runners which gives good flexibility and use the Cobra adaption H frames. These run horizontally over the original sliders and allow the seat to fit using its base mount points. This is a fairly straight forward way to fit them and you get a good sitting position. Secondly you can use the GSM JB side mount brackets. These bolt to the seat using the side mount points and then into the vehicle. You lose the sliding functionality of the seat however you get a very low and secure seating position perfect for Motorsport use. These are also available from our website.
