The ever-popular Nürburgring is a high-priority destination for all petrol heads, however, due to recent regulation changes to their public sessions, drivers are no longer allowed to have bucket seats installed with side head support protection.
This is a big change which has affected numerous drivers. If you have already spent a substantial amount of money of a set of stunning seats, you’re unlikely to want to buy all new seats just for a trip to the Nürburgring that you may only do once or twice a year.
So how do you get around this regulation change to avoid arriving at the track and being disappointed when they turn you away?
Here at GSM Performance, we have you covered! We’ve created these two new seats in different shapes and sizes, specifically for use on the Nürburgring. Both are available to rent so that you can replace your existing seats for your legendary road trip.
What seats do we have on offer?
- We have one standard size seat which is suitable for drivers up to around a 34″ waist.
- We have one larger size seat which is suitable for drivers up to around a 38″ waist.
- Both seats are trimmed in a highly-breathable 3D material for optimum driver comfort.
- Both seats are side-mounted and fully FIA-approved with a standard installation FIA bolt pattern
How much does it cost?
Our seat rental prices are as follows:
- £35.00 – Up to 7 days of use per seat for new customers
- £25.00 – Up to 7 days of use per seat for previous customers
If you run over the agreed time period for your rental, a second payment will be taken at a rate of £10.00 per seat for each day overdue.
How does the rental work?
Simply contact us in advance with the dates you require the seats to ensure they are available. Once we have you registered, we can then complete your booking. For this we will require:
- A copy of your driving license. This copy will be destroyed after the products have been returned.
- The rental payment on the day you collect the seats from our showroom.
- Your vehicle’s original seats. These will be stored with us during the use of our rental seats. (If you can not provide the seats, we will take the full payment for the value of the rental seats)

There are no hidden charges and no catches. Only what we’ve mentioned above. We simply want to assist anyone wanting to enjoy the experience at the Nurburgring, whether you have shopped with us before or not. We’re always here to help!.
