The Stilo ST5 R 8860 Carbon Rally WL helmet features an all-new shell specially designed for the integration of the world-renowned Stilo ‘WL’ wireless communication system. This helmet uses a 100% carbon fibre construction to provide an ultra-lightweight helmet that is strong and safe, exceeding the ultra stringent FIA 8860-2018 requirements for safety, reassuring the driver they have the very best levels of protection in the event of an accident. The use of PURO technology removes the need for an extra, clear coat to be applied to the carbon fibre shell, reducing the weight of the helmet, minimising muscle fatigue, and allowing you to compete at a higher level for longer without needing a break.
The Stilo ST5 R 8860 Carbon Rally WL Helmet retains the tried and tested Stilo WRC intercom system but has redesigned the comms port, meaning they now work with a WL wireless key that contours to the shape of the helmets shell meaning it does not get in the way or interfere with the FHR posts or straps. The noise-attenuating ear muffs surround the built-in speakers, reducing the amount of external noise that is picked up, providing clearer sound and an improved level of comfort. The magnetic dynamic noise-cancelling microphone can be easily adjusted to where the driver feels most comfortable, allowing for optimum spacing from the mouth. The intercom system used in this helmet is compatible with traditional Stilo wired amplifiers, meaning there is no need to change helmets when transferring to vehicles that do not have a wireless amplifier.
