The Bell Star Classic Helmet Arrives For In-Store Testing

The Bell Star Classic has just arrived in the showroom, and for the first time you can try one on with us. We have a size large on display, ready to try, and it can be dispatched straight away or collected.
Small, medium and extra large are available on the site. The listing also offers a HANS device and a balaclava as add-on items, so the whole set can go in one order.

The Bell Star Classic
The Star Classic is a modern take on the original Bell Star, the full face helmet worn by Formula 1 drivers in the 1970s. It looks the part, in Bell Heritage White with a gloss finish and a tan fire resistant lining, but it is built from current materials to current standards.
It is approved to FIA 8859-2015 and Snell SA2020, so you get the retro look with an approval that is accepted for competition. The shell is a fibreglass composite, and as a full face helmet it suits historic racing from the 1970s onwards.

Next to a modern full face helmet, the difference in shape is easy to see, and the white shell and tan lining stand out on the display.

The open face alternative: Bell 500 TX Classic
For older cars there is the Bell 500 TX Classic, a modern take on the open face 500 TX worn by racers in the 1950s and 60s. It follows the same idea as the Star Classic: the original look, built from modern materials, and approved to FIA 8859-2015 and Snell SA2020 for competition use.

What else is new from Bell
The Star Classic is part of a bigger update to our Bell range. More than 25 Bell helmets are on the site for the first time this year, covering both kart and FIA helmets with the latest approvals for 2022. We particularly like the new Stamina and Champion designs, which bring fresh colour schemes to Bell’s helmets.
The Bell GT5 Sport is also now online with its current approvals, information and images. It is a versatile modern helmet for drivers starting out who want quality without spending top money.
