Alpinestars Racewear Now In The Showroom: SP V2 Boots, Gloves And Balaclavas

We have updated our entire Alpinestars racewear range: suits, gloves, balaclavas and race boots. Every listing now has the latest FIA approvals, new images and fuller information, plus bundle items at the checkout picked to suit each product.
Several of those bundle items are the matching pieces of racewear, so you can put a full set together in one basket. And for the first time, we have Alpinestars on display in the showroom to try on.

The Alpinestars SP V2 race boots are in the showroom for the first time. We have them in black in four sizes, EU 42, 43, 44 and 45.5, ready to try on, and more colours and sizes are on the website.
Garreth's advice with race boots is to try them in the socks you race in. A boot that feels roomy in the shop can be just right with a proper fireproof sock.
Beside the boots are the Tech-1 Start V2 gloves. Alpinestars revised them for 2020 with better flame and heat resistance and homologation to FIA 8856-2018. They have printed silicone grip on the palm and fingers, a box cut construction shaped for the cockpit, and an extended cuff with a 180 degree elasticated wrist closure.
The Race V3 balaclava completes the display. Alpinestars re-engineered it for 2020 using Lenzing FR fibres, which breathe well and resist flame and heat. It has flat seams, a relaxed fit, a twin layer of fabric over the face and a hole for a drinks tube.

Two Alpinestars suits worth knowing
The Atom is the new entry level Alpinestars suit for the 2022 season, approved to FIA 8856-2018. It is a two layer suit with an aramid twill outer and an aramid lining. The arms and legs are pre-curved and there are stretch panels in the right places, so it fits closely in the driving position without holding you back.
The Stratos is a double layer FIA approved suit made from a breathable aramid material. It has fully floating arms for freedom of movement, and flat epaulets that work with HANS devices and hybrid restraints. Our guide to choosing an FIA race suit explains the standard and how a suit should fit.
Also new for 2022
At the top of the glove range, the Alpinestars Tech 1-ZX V2 has been redesigned and homologated to FIA 8856-2018, with improved flame and heat protection from new materials and construction.
