New OMP Race Suits For The 2025 Season: The First Evo And The First Elle

OMP has started 2025 with two revised race suits at the entry point of its FIA range: the First Evo and the First Elle, the women's cut of the same suit. Both are now on our site.
They are two-layer suits approved to FIA 8856-2018, with a new two-colour design that runs down the sides and across the knees, and they are made to match the OMP First boots and gloves. Here is what has changed and how to choose between them.

The OMP First Evo
The First Evo is the entry point to OMP’s FIA suit range. It is a two-layer suit approved to FIA 8856-2018, which is the combination most UK club racing regulations ask for. If your series wants three layers, the next step up in the OMP range is the Tecnica Evo.
The detail that sets it apart from the older First is the honeycomb inner lining, which leaves small air pockets between the fabric and your skin so the suit breathes better over a long stint. It also has floating sleeves, stretch panels at the back and groin, flat seams, an integrated belt and two pockets. Sizes run from 42 to 64.
The OMP First Elle. The Elle uses the same construction as the First Evo: aramid outer layer, honeycomb inner, floating sleeves and stretch panels, FIA 8856-2018 and two layers. The difference is the cut, which follows a women's pattern through the hips, chest and shoulders instead of scaling down a unisex suit.
That matters in the car. A suit that fits properly sits better under the harness and restricts arm movement less. The Elle comes in sizes 38 to 50.
The new two-colour design
The visible change for 2025 is the colour scheme. Both suits now carry a second colour down the sides and in a band across the knees, and the colours are chosen to line up with the OMP First race boots and First gloves, so a full set matches.
The First Evo comes in five colourways, including navy blue and cyan, black and white, and anthracite and fluorescent yellow. The Elle comes in three: black and fuchsia, black and white, and navy blue and light blue.

Getting the size right
Race suits are sized in European numbers, and women’s suits are sized differently from men’s, so the usual conversion charts are not much help. Garreth’s advice is to send us your height, chest and inside leg (and waist and hip measurements for the Elle) and let us check the chart before you order. If you are broad across the shoulders or chest, tell us, because that can move you up a size.
