The Complete BC Racing Coilover Guide for Suzuki

Twenty-nine Suzuki fitments cover nineteen models in the BC Racing range, and the spread tells you more about the make than any spec sheet. The Swift accounts for five separate listings spanning 1988 to the current ZCEDS generation, and it is the only Suzuki that steps beyond the V1 into the adjustable performance series: BR, ER and ZX across three generations, RM on the classic SF body. Everything else runs on the V1, which is exactly right for cars like the Ignis, Wagon R and Solio that spend their lives on public roads rather than circuits.

The question that trips people up is the Jimny. BC lists the JB64W twice under the same chassis code and the same year range, and the difference between those two listings is one of the first things to settle before ordering.

Which BC series fits your Suzuki?

The Swift is the only Suzuki with choices. Three generations get BR, ER and ZX; the 2010-17 ZC72S/ZC32S is BR only; the 1988-03 SF body pairs BR with RM. Every other model in the range is V1. The chart shows which series each model can have.

The Jimny: High kit or Low kit?

The JB64W Jimny (2018 onwards) appears twice in the BC Racing range under the same chassis code and the same year bracket. Both kits fit the same car. The difference is what they do to the ride height.

The Jimny sits noticeably higher than most hatchbacks from the factory. The High kit is for owners who want to stay close to that raised stance or lift it a little further. The Low kit is for owners who want to bring it down toward a more conventional road car height. BC makes them as separate kits because the strut geometry is different, not because one is a spring rate option of the other.

Both are V1 series, so the damping adjustability is the same. The choice is purely about where you want the car to sit. If you are unsure, measure your current wheel arch gap on both axles and tell us the target height. We can point you at the right one from there.

What to check before you order

The main thing to get right on a Suzuki order is the chassis code. The Ignis and Ignis Sport share the HT81S code on older models, but BC lists them as separate products. Check the title of the listing against your chassis plate before ordering.

The SX4 spans two distinct generations. The 2006-14 (chassis YB41) covers both FWD and AWD in one listing. The 2014-21 (chassis YA22S) is FWD only. Both are BR series. If your SX4 is four-wheel drive and 2014 or newer, check with us before ordering as we are not aware of a current BC listing for that combination.

The Cappuccino (EA11R and EA12R, 1991-1998) is a rear-wheel-drive kei sports car. The BC listing covers both chassis codes in one kit. Nothing complicated about the order itself, but it is worth knowing the car is rear-wheel drive if you are coming from a front-drive Suzuki and adjusting your corner weight expectations.

Related guides

The BC Racing pillar guide covers the full range across every make and explains how the series relate to each other. Most Suzuki models sit on V1, so the V1 series guide is the natural next read. The BR guide is worth a look if you are shopping for the Swift.

Final thoughts

Twenty-nine fitments across nineteen models is a tighter range than the bigger Japanese makes, but BC Racing has the Suzuki lineup covered in a way that suits how people actually use these cars. The Swift gets the full performance treatment across five generations. The Jimny gets two purpose-built kits rather than one compromise. The Ignis, Baleno, Wagon R and the rest all have V1 kits that do the job without overcomplicating things.

If you are looking for a specific fitment or you want to talk through the Jimny High versus Low choice, the contact details are on the site. Cameron, GSM Performance.
