British motor company, Ariel, is set to create a 1,180bhp hypercar to rival the likes of McLaren & Porsche. Capable of doing 0-100mph in just 3.8 seconds, Ariel’s new hypercar will produce 1,180bhp & 1,327lb ft of torque to achieve this.
Powered by four electric motors, a 42kWh battery pack at 680v & a range extender motor, the electrical engineering of this hypercar is definitely something to behold. In fact, the car delivers so much torque, Ariel boss Simon Saunders stated: “The car delivers so much torque and power, the simulations show we could be wheel-spinning at 100mph in the dry”.
In order to create the vehicle, Ariel has teamed up with Delta Motorsport & is aiming to market the vehicle as early as 2020. We’ll definitely be keen to see what seats & harnesses are used in the final product!
