Identify the intended threaded inserts

Read the seat label
Record the full Corbeau model and part number. Similar trims can sit over different seat structures.
Photograph the underside
Capture every captive insert, supplied bolt and trimmed opening before removing anything.
Measure centre to centre
Check both width and front-to-back spacing. Measure twice and show the tape in a photograph.
Ask before exposing trim
If an insert is beneath upholstery, get model-specific instructions. Do not probe with a blade.

Garreth and Cameron often use the outer mounting points where the selected runner and frame were built around that width. Another kit may use the inner points. The correct answer lives in the part combination, not a rule that outer is always better.
Check the handle without a driver in the seat
Both rails must release and lock together.

Corbeau offers more than one handle width. Buy the handle for the runner spacing. If adjustment is allowed, follow the instructions for that handle rather than copying a bend shown for another kit.

Support it without crushing a bolster or resting weight on a recliner handle.
Offer up the runners
Use the confirmed insert set and specified fasteners. Everything should sit square without bolt tension pulling it across.
Test adjustment
Run the pair from end to end and lock it at several points. Inspect clearance underneath.
Add the vehicle frame
Confirm every interface before installation. If holes miss, identify the wrong part rather than modifying the nearest one.

No generic amount of bending is safe advice. Use the handle made for the runner spacing or follow the runner maker instructions. It must release both locks and return fully without rubbing.
Do Sparco or OMP runners bolt straight to every Corbeau seat?▾
No. Some combinations share useful centres, but runner length, hole pattern, fasteners and handle still need checking. The old guide called this plug and play too broadly.
What if only three holes line up?▾
Stop. Confirm the part numbers and orientation. Do not pull the fourth corner into place with a bolt or enlarge a hole without written manufacturer approval.
