The new Sparco race suits for 2022 are on our site. There are fresh designs across the range, plenty of colours, a wide spread of sizes, and updated FIA approvals on the new suits.

The 2022 range and the bundles
Sparco has started 2022 with a new set of suits. The designs are new, the colour choice is wide, and the sizes cover most drivers. The new suits carry updated FIA approvals, and a fireproof suit is compulsory in most forms of motorsport, so that approval label is the first thing to check.
Several of the suits have matching racewear from the same range: gloves, boots and balaclavas. We have attached these to the suits as bundle items at the checkout, so you can buy the whole set together and get ready for the track more quickly.
Sparco Superleggera
Superleggera means superlight, and this is Sparco’s ultra lightweight three layer suit. It is built for comfort without giving anything away on protection.
It has fully breathable side inserts, fully floating pre-curved sleeves, an elasticated anti-abrasion panel across the lower back, and soft breathable inserts at the hips and elbows. Our listing shows it approved to FIA 8856-2018 and SFI 3.2A/5.
Sparco Prime
The Prime uses very thin stitching on all the decorative parts and thinner stitching on the structural seams, which gives a flat stitch pattern that is more comfortable against the body.
The floating arm bellows and the lumbar stretch panels are made from a light, breathable fabric to help keep body temperature down. The outer layer is DuPont Nomex comfort fabric, which has good anti-static properties.
Sparco Competition Vintage
The Competition Vintage takes a retro racing design and builds it with modern racewear technology. It complies with FIA 8856-2018, so it suits classic car racing: the period look, with current protection and comfort.

Finish it with a helmet
With any Sparco suit, we recommend a Sparco helmet to finish the outfit. We have FIA and non FIA helmets, full face and open face, from track day and karting helmets through to FIA 8859 and FIA 8860 helmets for motorsport. If you compete, check which helmet standard your championship asks for before you choose.
