Our Alpinestars FIA race suits have been updated for the 2024 season. The listings have fresh information and colour options, and the range runs from the entry level Atom to the Hypertech V3 and GP Tech V4.
Every suit in the range is approved to FIA 8856-2018, so the choice between them comes down to weight, breathability and budget. We keep the Atom on the rail in the showroom so you can try one on.

The Atom: the way into Alpinestars
The Atom is Alpinestars' entry level FIA suit. It is two layers, a 100 per cent Aramidic twill outer and an Aramidic lining, with a combined fabric weight of 420g per square metre.
It has the details you would expect higher up the range: a fully floating arm design, pre-curved arms and legs, stretch panels for a close fit, flat seams at the shoulders so a HANS device sits comfortably, an extended collar with a soft stretch insert, thigh pockets and an adjustable waist belt.
The Hypertech V3: light and close fitting
The Hypertech V3 is built for competitive racing, where weight and heat matter over a long stint. It is a two layer suit with a new soft knit lining, super light Nomex stretch panels at the elbows, knees and lower back, pre-curved arms and legs, and a slimmer cuff at the wrist.
It closes with a YKK metal zip with a double slider, which helps give it a more tailored fit.
The GP Tech V4: three layers
The GP Tech V4 is the three layer suit, with an Alpinestars twill outer and an Aramidic knit inner, re-engineered for more heat and flame protection. 3D Nomex on the torso, sides and underarms is there to help regulate body temperature, and F1 derived Nomex stretch panels sit at the lower back, elbows, knees and crotch. It also has discreet thigh pockets.
