Since we opened our showroom we have been learning about the requirements of various racing drivers, what size seats are popular, what models people are drawn to and we have realized more and more that its important to cater for the larger and taller driver. We have had time and time again drivers arriving that are over 6ft tall and/or have a larger build frame so we have worked out which seats are most comfortable, which provide the most head support and which we believe are the best on the market.
Big and tall Motorsport seat recommendations…
We have found that Corbeau and Cobra have some fantastic seats which cater for both the taller and wider driver. Follow the link above to our recommendations depending on your requirements. We have found that the Corbeau Revenge is a fantastic seat for the taller driver as it has a longer back rest which helps provide great head support if your over 6ft tall. This also applies to the Bimarco Futura which has a longer back and great if your on a budget and do not need the head protection.
The Corbeau Pro Series XL, Sprint XL and the Cobra Suzuka GT are fantastic options if you have an above average waist line or wider hip bones. All these seats have a larger internal seating area which helps cater for this and we have found that time and time again these have been the favourites of customers that visit us in-store so we highly recommend these seats.
If you are on a budget and need a steel frame FIA seat then the largest in its class is the Sabelt GT-090 which als0 has a really good internal area and is more than suitable for the larger driver.
