Updates To The OMP Tecnica Racewear Range For 2025

With the 2025 season coming, we have updated our OMP Tecnica racewear. New Tecnica race gloves and Tecnica race boots have joined the Tecnica Evo race suit, and the three now share matching colourways, so a whole set can be put together in one scheme.
Tecnica is the middle of OMP's range, above the entry level Sport and below the One. Everything here is approved to FIA 8856-2018, from the fireproof underwear to the suit.

The Tecnica Evo race suit
The Tecnica Evo is a three layer suit approved to FIA 8856-2018, made from a lightweight Nomex sandwich at 340 grams per square metre, so the extra layer adds very little weight. It has fully floating arm bellows, stretch panels where you move most, and OMP’s Dry System panels in the back, hips and sleeves to draw moisture away and let air in.
The seams are ultra flat to stop rubbing, and the flat epaulettes reduce pressure points under a head and neck restraint, with driver extraction handles built in. Three layers matters in some UK club series that set a minimum layer count, so it is worth checking your rulebook.
New Tecnica gloves and boots
The new Tecnica race gloves are made from soft, fire resistant Nomex with suede leather and silicone inserts for grip on the wheel. They are pre-curved with external stitching, which cuts down bunching and hot spots on a long stint. Sizes run from XS to XL.
The new Tecnica race boots have a leather and suede upper, a Nomex lining throughout, rear ankle bellows for flexibility and a thinner sole than the Sport boot for better pedal feel. A pre-threaded quick lace system tightens them faster than normal laces. Sizes run from EU 39 to EU 48.

Underwear and socks
Under the suit, the Tecnica Evo long sleeve top and long johns are knitted without seams, so there are no raised lines to press under the harness straps, with 3D inserts over the areas that sweat most. The Nomex is flame retardant by fibre, not by treatment, so it does not wash out.
The Tecnica socks have reinforced heel and toe areas, the two places a racing sock wears through, and a stitch pattern that spreads pressure. All of it is approved to FIA 8856-2018.
