What is on this page
The OMP Sport race suit
The Sport suit is a two layer Nomex suit approved to FIA 8856-2018. OMP made the latest version lighter than the one before it and gave it the comfort details you would expect higher up the range: floating arms, soft knitted inserts on the back, elastic fabric at the underarms, lower back and hips, and elasticated wrists and ankles.
It has a Velcro waist belt for a better fit, external pockets and extraction handles on the shoulders. It comes in several colours that match the boots and gloves.
The OMP Sport race boots
The Sport boot is the entry level in OMP's FIA boot range, approved to FIA 8856-2018. It has a soft microfibre upper, a Nomex inner lining and a fire resistant rubber sole with a pattern based on a tyre tread, which grips the pedals better than a smooth sole.
They lace up in the traditional way, with a Velcro strap over the top to keep everything secure. Colours are black and white, black and red, black and fluorescent yellow, and black and cyan.

The OMP Sport race gloves
The Sport gloves were new for 2024. They are made from soft knit Nomex, approved to FIA 8856-2018, with silicone grip printed on the palm and the inside of the fingers so you keep a steady hold of the wheel and still feel what the car is doing. An elasticated wristband makes them easy to pull on and keeps them secure.
They come in colourways that match the boots, so a whole set can be put together in one colour scheme.

Try it on in the showroom
In November 2024 we had a small amount of OMP Sport racewear in the showroom, ready to try on, collect or dispatch straight away: the Sport boots in black and white in EU 46 (UK 11), a red pair in EU 39 (UK 5.5), and a blue Sport suit in XXL.
Garreth’s advice for a first set is to get the suit size right first, because it is the piece that is hardest to swap later. If the Sport suit is not quite right for you, the OMP First S is another two layer FIA 8856-2018 suit at a similar level. Our OMP Sport set guide has more on putting the three pieces together.
