New for 2025: Three Fresh Colour Options for the Sparco Sprint Racing Suit
Racewear news, January 2025
The Sparco Sprint is the suit we point most club racers and first-time competitors towards: a two layer suit approved to FIA 8856-2018 at an entry-level price. For 2025 Sparco has added three new Duo-Colour versions, and they are available to order from us now.
The new colourways are black with blue, black with fluorescent yellow and black with fluorescent green. Each one has contrasting colour down both sides of the suit and on the inner arms and shoulders.

The three new Duo-Colour designs
Until now most people bought the Sprint in a single colour. The Duo-Colour versions keep a black suit and add a bright second colour down both sides, on the inner arms and across the shoulders.
Black and blue is the quieter of the three. Black with fluorescent yellow and black with fluorescent green are much brighter, and they suit a team that wants its drivers easy to spot in the pit lane or a car with a matching livery.

What the Sprint is
The Sprint is Sparco’s entry-level two layer suit. It is approved to FIA 8856-2018, the current FIA standard for racewear, and to SFI 3.2A/5. The current version uses a softer, more breathable fabric with a semi-sheen outer finish and an anti-static lining.
For comfort in the car it has semi-floating sleeves, which let your arms move without pulling the suit across your back, and an elasticated back panel to keep the fit snug. Sizes run from 48 to 66.
It is a good fit for club racing, sprints, hillclimbs and rallying, where you need an FIA approved suit but do not need the lighter weight of a top level multi-layer suit. Our guide to choosing an FIA race suit explains the standard in more detail.
Trying one on in the showroom
We keep the black Sprint on display in several sizes, so you can try it on before the season starts. If you want one of the new Duo-Colour designs, we order it in for you once you know your size.
Garreth’s advice is to sit in a seat in the suit, not just stand in it. A suit that feels fine standing up can pull across the shoulders or ride up at the ankles once you are in a driving position. We also do Sprint bundles with Sparco Slalom boots and Land gloves, sized for smaller, medium and larger drivers.
