New OMP Track Day Helmet In-Store Display

The new 2024 OMP track day helmets are now on display in the showroom. We have the OMP Star and the Circuit Evo 2 in all three colours, matt black, white and fluro yellow, ready to try on, and it is the first time we have had them out on display.
They are based closely on last year's models, with a sleeker look for 2024. Both are ECE approved, which makes them helmets for track days and karting venues that accept ECE, not for Motorsport UK or FIA events.

The Star and the Circuit Evo 2
The Circuit Evo 2 is OMP’s full face track day helmet. It has a lightweight ABS shell and a wide visor aperture for a good field of view, with vents in the chin and on top for airflow and a soft, breathable lining inside. Sizes run from XS (53 to 54 cm) to XXL (61 cm).
The Star is the open face option, with a peak across the top and a soft, breathable interior. It suits drivers who prefer an open helmet, and it comes in sizes S (55 to 56 cm) to XXL (61 cm).
Both helmets come in the same three colours, so on the display you can see every combination side by side. The fluro yellow is the most visible of the three.
They are a sensible first helmet for someone just starting out, or a replacement for a helmet that has reached the end of its life. Garreth's advice is to try a helmet on before buying: head shapes vary, and a helmet should feel snug all round without pressure points.
ECE approved: where you can use them
Both helmets are approved to ECE 22.06, a road helmet standard. That is what most track day organisers and many indoor karting venues ask for, and it is what these helmets are made for.
ECE is not an FIA motorsport approval, and neither helmet has HANS posts. For Motorsport UK or FIA events that require an FIA helmet, you need a different helmet. If you are not sure what your event needs, check its rules or ask us.

The OMP helmets sit alongside the rest of our helmet display, which covers open and full face helmets from track day models up to FIA homologated helmets for competition. We also have Stilo and Sparco helmets on clearance in the showroom at the moment, with the discount already applied.
