Our OMP karting suit range has been updated for 2024. Every suit now has its current approval and key features in the description, along with new images and the latest colour and size options.
There is a new suit this year as well, the OMP KS-X Art. It is OMP's top kart suit, approved to FIA 8877-2022, and it brings a bold design to the range with red and yellow stripes down the arms and legs.

The new OMP KS-X Art
The KS-X Art sits at the top of OMP's kart suit range. OMP developed it with input from professional drivers, and it is approved to FIA 8877-2022 at grade 1, the FIA standard for karting clothing.
The outer shell is lightweight Cordura, which stands up well to abrasion, and there is padding at the knees. Stretch panels in the key areas let you move freely, and breathable inserts help keep your temperature steady.
The look is what most people notice first. Red and yellow stripes run down the arms and legs, matching the OMP branding on the shoulders, so it stands out on a grid of plain suits.
Our most popular OMP kart suits
Three OMP suits make up most of what we sell for karting, and each suits a different kind of driver.
OMP KS-3. A club level kart suit homologated to CIK-FIA Level 2, for karting events that ask for that approval. It has a Cordura outer layer, and this latest version is noticeably lighter than the one before.
OMP KS-4. A cotton and polyester suit, a good first suit for karting where the rules are less strict. Check your class regulations before choosing it for competition.
OMP Summer-K. A single layer of breathable cotton and polyester, with no CIK or FIA approval. It is made for karting where an approved suit is not needed: practice, arrive and drive sessions and hot days in the paddock.

Choosing the right kart suit
The approval is the first thing to decide, because it depends on where you race. Some classes ask for an FIA 8877-2022 suit, some accept older CIK-FIA homologations, and practice and leisure karting often need no approval at all. Garreth’s advice is to read your class regulations first and choose the suit second.
