OMP Cromo Steering Wheel Added To Our Display

The OMP Cromo steering wheel is now on display in the showroom, ready to see and hold. It is the first time we have had this wheel in the shop, and it is ready to send out or collect.
It is a flat dish wheel with a squared-off bottom, a leather and perforated leather grip, and chrome spokes, which set it apart from the black wheels around it on the stand.

What is on this page
What the Cromo is
The Cromo is a 350 mm, three spoke wheel with a flat dish, so the rim sits in line with the mounting face. The spokes are chrome, where most competition wheels use black anodised aluminium, and the bottom of the rim is squared off.
Chrome suits a car with brightwork, chrome bezels or a period dashboard, which makes the Cromo a good match for a restomod, a show car or a classic that is used on the road.
The leather grip
The rim is trimmed in leather, with perforated leather sections where your hands sit. Leather wears well and is easy to keep clean, and the perforations help stop your hands sweating against it on a long drive.
Garreth's advice is to hold a wheel before you buy it if you can, because rim thickness and shape feel different in the hand from how they look in a photo. That is why the Cromo is on the display.
Fitting the Cromo
The horn push comes with the wheel. To fit it to your car you need a boss kit made for that model, and with a flat dish wheel the boss kit decides how far the wheel sits from the column. Tell us your car and we will supply the right hub with it.
