Our Sparco FIA race glove range has been updated for 2023, with current safety information, FIA approvals and more colour options on every listing. There is a brand new glove this year too: the Sparco Futura, in several colours and a full run of sizes.

Our Sparco gloves, updated for 2023
Every Sparco race glove listing now shows its FIA approval, its safety features and the full choice of colours and sizes. Fireproof gloves are compulsory in most forms of motorsport. They protect your hands if there is a fire and give you grip on the wheel and controls, so the approval on the label matters as much as the fit.
New for 2023: the Sparco Futura
The Futura is built with what Sparco calls its full efficiency process. Offcuts and waste material from the manufacture of Sparco’s other safety products are reused in the glove, which cuts down the waste from production without changing the level of protection. The Futura is approved to FIA 8856-2018 and SFI 3.3/5.
The most practical change is the seams. On the Futura, the finger seams sit on the outside of the glove, so there is no ridge pressing into your fingers where you grip the wheel. That reduces pressure points and helps with fatigue over a long session.
Silicone printed on the palm and fingers gives good grip, and an elasticated wrist makes the glove quick and easy to pull on. It comes in black with fluorescent yellow, black with green, black with white, and white with black, in sizes XS to XXL.

FIA gloves in the showroom
We have FIA race gloves from four brands on display in the showroom, so you can compare the feel and fit side by side.
The Alpinestars Tech-1 Start V2 has improved heat and flame resistance and FIA 8856-2018 approval. Its lightweight construction, printed silicone grip and box cut, with less pressure on the ring and middle fingers, are designed for a confined cockpit. The OMP First-S has a Nomex palm with silicone inserts and an elasticated wrist for a close fit. The Sparco Land is made from a light layer of Nomex with an aramid construction and a suede palm reinforcement for grip, with a shaped palm and reinforced stitching that stop it slipping on the hand.
Getting the right glove
A race glove should be snug, with no spare material at the fingertips, because loose fabric makes it harder to feel the wheel. Garreth’s advice is to try gloves on with your hands in the driving position, not held flat, and to check that the cuff sits comfortably under your suit sleeve.
