The Complete BC Racing Coilover Guide for Mazda
Mazda is one of the ranges where the model name alone won’t get you to the right kit. Search for a Mk1 MX-5 coilover and a Mk2 MX-5 coilover separately and BC Racing hands you the same product both times, the NA and NB chassis are built as one kit covering 1989 to 2005, listed under the code NA8C/NB8C. The NC (2006-15) and ND (2015 on) each get their own line instead. We hold 44 BC Racing fitments for Mazda across 34 models, everything from the 1970s RX-2 through to the current CX-90 and the Ez-6 EV, so the trick is knowing which listing actually matches your car.

Every BC Racing coilover fitment we hold for Mazda
What BC series your Mazda can run
Not every Mazda gets the same choice of BC series. The Mazda 3 is the deepest volume car in the range, with BR, RM, ER and ZX all available depending on generation. The MX-5 skips RM but keeps ER and ZX alongside BR, which is the setup most owners running these on track or fast road pick. The RX-7 stands alone here, it’s the only Mazda fitment that runs six of BC’s seven series, BR, RM, ER, ZX, HM and ZR, missing only V1. The people carriers, Premacy, MPV, Biante and Tribute, sit at the other end and only come in V1. Everything else in the range runs BR on its own or paired with RM.
Fitment by model
The table below lists every Mazda fitment we hold, with the chassis code and drive type where BC’s own listing states one. Where a field is marked with a dash, BC hasn’t split that listing by drive type or given a separate chassis code, so treat the years and model as the match.
What to check before you order
Drive type catches people out more than anything else in this range. The 2003-08 Mazda 6, the 2014 on Demio/Mazda 2 and the 2010-18 Premacy each run a separate listing for AWD, alongside the standard front-drive kit for the same years. Order the wrong one and it won’t fit. The current Mazda 3, built from 2019, is specified for the torsion beam rear only, so check which rear axle your car has before you order. And three of the classic rotary cars, the RX-7 (78-85), the RX-3/808 and the RX-2/616/618, are marked welding required. These aren’t bolt-in kits, they need the mounts welded in.

Final thoughts
Whichever generation you’re running, match the chassis code before you check out, not just the model name. If your car isn’t listed here or you’re not sure which line applies, give us a shout and we’ll confirm it against your V5 before you order.
