Sparco Club X1 Carbon Helmets Arrive In-Store

Helmet news, December 2023

More Sparco Club X1 Carbon helmets have just arrived, and the showroom has them back on display to try on. We have also added a silver mirror visor as an option on the listing, and the size range now runs from XS to XXL.

The Club X1 is a track day helmet, not a race helmet, and that is worth being clear about before anyone buys one. Here is what it is, who it suits, and what to look at if you need an FIA helmet.

  • Sparco Club X1 Carbon helmets back in the showroom
  • ECE approved, not FIA approved: for track days and fast road use
  • Full face, with vents in the chin, brow and top
  • Sizes XS to XXL
  • New silver mirror visor option on the listing
  • A plain Club X1 also comes in black or white

What the Club X1 Carbon is

The Club X1 is a full face helmet built on Sparco’s Advanced Thermo Material (ATM) shell. The Carbon version has a carbon finish over that shell, which looks sharp under the showroom lights. It has vents in the chin, the brow and the top of the head, so it keeps reasonably cool at track day pace, and the visor is clear as standard.

It is ECE approved. That makes it suitable for track days, fast road use and club events that do not ask for a fireproof or FIA homologated helmet. It is not FIA approved, so it is not for race events that require one.

The new delivery covers S, M, L and XL, with XS and XXL on the shelf as well, so most people can try their size in one visit.

The silver mirror visor is a new option on the listing. It is added at the point of ordering, and it cuts glare on a bright day. If you would like a cheaper Club X1 without the carbon finish, the standard version comes in black or white.

If you need an FIA helmet

We have also updated all our Sparco helmet listings for the 2024 season, with the latest approvals, sizes and colours, and new models. The range covers open and full face helmets, from ECE track day helmets up to carbon helmets such as the Prime RF-10W Supercarbon.

Two we have in the showroom are the Air Pro RF-5W, a full face helmet with a fibreglass shell reinforced with carbon and Kevlar, an adjustable visor, a removable flame retardant lining and room for a drinks system; and the RJ, an open face helmet with a fibreglass shell reinforced with carbon and Kevlar, removable linings and a fibreglass peak. The RJ now comes in seven sizes, including a new medium large.

Every Sparco helmet on the site now has matching bundle items at checkout, such as HANS devices and balaclavas. Garreth’s advice is to check your event’s rules for the helmet standard first, then choose. Our guide to FIA and Snell helmet standards explains what the approvals mean.
