The OMP Sport range is OMP's entry point into FIA racewear, and for 2024 we have the Sport race suit and Sport race boots in the showroom, so drivers can see them and try them on before they buy.
We have also been through our whole OMP race boot range on the site, updating the information, images and FIA homologations for the new season, and adding boots that are listed with us for the first time.

The OMP Sport race suit
The Sport is OMP’s entry level homologated race suit, approved to FIA 8856-2018. It is a two-layer Nomex suit with soft knitted inserts across the back, which is the detail that makes it comfortable when you reach for the wheel.
It is aimed at club racers who need a current FIA approval without paying for the weight savings of a top level suit. The approval is the same one found on far dearer suits. In April 2024 we had it in the showroom in black, in size L.
The OMP Sport race boots
The Sport boots are the entry level boot in OMP's range. The upper is soft, lightweight microfibre with a Nomex lining, and the fire resistant rubber sole has a pattern inspired by a tyre tread for grip on the pedals.
They use a traditional lace system with a velcro strap over the top, and the ankle is shaped with a rear bellow to make movement easier. They are homologated to FIA 8856-2018. We had them on display in black and red, and black and white.

Our OMP boot range, updated for 2024
Every OMP race boot on our site has been updated for the new season, with fresh information, images and FIA homologations, and some boots are listed with us for the first time. Racing boots are compulsory in most forms of motorsport, because the flame resistant lining protects the feet in a fire, and the thin sole gives feel on the pedals.
The range runs from the Sport at the entry level up to OMP’s lightest top end boots. The approval does not change as you go up: what changes is the material, the weight and how much feel the sole gives. Our guide to choosing FIA race boots goes through that in more detail.
What is on display in the showroom
Alongside the Sport boots, we have the OMP First race boots on display in black. The First is a suede boot with a rubber sole and a lace and velcro fastening, and it sits a step above the Sport in OMP’s range. In April 2024 we had the First in black in sizes EU 44 to 47.
Garreth’s advice is to try boots on with the socks you will race in. They are meant to fit snugly, and they feel different from a road shoe underfoot.
