Alpinestars Race V4 Gloves Now On Display

The Alpinestars Tech 1 Race V4 gloves are now on display in our showroom, so you can see them and try them on before you buy. We have them in black, in sizes S, M, L and XL, and the other colours are on the website.
A glove is one of the hardest things to buy without trying, because the fit around the fingers is what you notice at the wheel. Having them on the shelf makes that much easier.

What is on the shelf
The display pairs are black, and when they went on the shelf we had sizes small, medium, large and extra large in the showroom. The glove is made in five sizes and six colours in total, so if you want another colour you can try the size here and order the colour you like.
Look at the palm side and you will see the silicone print for grip and the seams sitting on the outside, which is the detail most people ask about.
The Tech 1 Race V4 in short
The Race V4 has been redesigned to meet FIA 8856-2018, with more heat and flame protection and no loss of fit. It is made from flame resistant aramid fibre and has an extended cuff for extra cover at the wrist, an elasticated wrist closure and pre-curved palms and fingers that stop material bunching when you hold the wheel.
It is a mid-range glove, but it has external seams on the palm side, which you often only find on dearer gloves. That lets it sit closer to the hand.

Where it sits in the V4 glove range

All three are approved to FIA 8856-2018, so for scrutineering they are equal. What changes as you go up is the fit and the feel. The Tech 1-ZX V4 was developed with input from drivers in F1 and endurance racing, and its honeycomb fabric is made to keep hands cooler.

Are the Tech 1 Race V4 gloves FIA approved?
Yes. They are approved to FIA 8856-2018.
What is the difference between the Race V4 and the Tech 1-ZX V4?
Both are FIA 8856-2018. The ZX V4 is the top of the range, with a 3D silicone grip, touch screen fingertips and breathable honeycomb fabric.
Why do external seams matter on a racing glove?
With the seams on the outside, nothing presses into your fingers, so the glove fits closer and is more comfortable over a long session.
