The Sparco K-Rookie is the entry point to Sparco's karting glove range, and it is on our site for the 2026 season. It is a light, stretchy glove with a grippy palm, made for practice days, arrive and drive sessions and club karting.
It is not homologated, and that is the point of it. If your series does not ask for approved gloves, the K-Rookie gives you the fit and grip of a proper kart glove without paying for an approval you do not need.

What is on this page
What the K-Rookie is
The back of the glove is a soft stretch fabric, and the fingers are pre-curved so the glove sits in a natural grip shape from the first session. The palm is synthetic leather with a silicone grip print, which holds the wheel in damp or sweaty conditions.
The stitching is inside the glove, and an elasticated cuff holds it at the wrist. The design is two-tone with a large Sparco logo across the back.
Why it has no approval
The K-Rookie carries no FIA or CIK approval. That makes it the right glove for practice, testing, arrive and drive sessions and club racing where the rules do not ask for approved hand protection, and it keeps the price down.
It is not the right glove if your championship specifies homologated kartwear. Check your regulations first. Our kart suit standards guide explains what different karting events ask for.
Colours and sizes
There are four colourways: black and red, black and white, black and blue, and black and fluorescent yellow. Sizes run from XXS to XXL, so the same glove covers younger drivers starting out and adults.
We sell the K-Rookie online, and we do not keep it in the showroom to try on. Garreth’s advice is to measure around the palm before you order and send us the number if you are unsure; a kart glove should be snug with no spare material at the fingertips.

The K-Attack is the step up without an approval: it adds external seams, which take the pressure off the finger joints. If you need an approved glove, the K-Arrow+ and K-Tide+ are both FIA 8877-2022. The K-Arrow+ has external seams and padding on the palm to soak up vibration, and the K-Tide+ uses Sparco’s 3D HTX palm for grip and damping.
