The Complete B-G and MOMO Alfa Romeo Steering Wheel Hub Guide
BG8225, the B-G hub for the Alfa Romeo 147, 159, GT, Mito and Giulietta, is also the hub for the Fiat Bravo, Punto, Panda, Stilo, Idea and Doblo, and the Lancia Musa and Ypsilon. By the time that generation of Alfa launched, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia were sharing steering columns as one engineering group, which is why one part number covers thirteen models across three badges. MK4035R does the same job on the MOMO side, covering the Lancia Y and Libra alongside nine Fiat models.
A handful of older Alfa listings on this site carry titles like “Alfa 33-75-90” and “ALFA33” with no “Romeo” in the name, which is worth knowing if you are searching rather than browsing. This guide covers 69 boss kits across Alfa Romeo, B-G, MOMO, OMP and Sparco. I am Cameron, and I look after the steering wheel side of things at GSM Performance.
Which boss kit fits your car
An aftermarket wheel will not bolt onto an Alfa Romeo column on its own. The boss kit bridges the two, machined to match the spline count and column depth of your specific model and year. The table below is grouped by part number so you can see which models share a hub, including the ones that cross into Fiat and Lancia.

Green rows share a part code with Fiat or Lancia models not listed in this guide.
If you are searching this site rather than browsing by model, some older Alfa listings use "Alfa 33-75-90" or "ALFA33" in the title rather than "Alfa Romeo", so a search for "Alfa Romeo" alone will miss them. The brand buttons below search on "Alfa" for this reason. Sparco does not have a working brand button here, searching Alfa on this site returns a broad mix of unrelated Sparco stock rather than just Alfa fitments, so the four Sparco Alfa kits are linked directly in the section above instead.
Fitting a steering wheel hub
So how does a Sparco wheel end up on a B-G hub? Because nearly every aftermarket motorsport wheel is drilled to the same bolt pattern, six bolts on a 70mm circle, written as 6 x 70mm PCD. MOMO, Sparco, OMP and the Mountney M-Range all use it. The hub is chosen by the car, the wheel is chosen by you, and the two brands never have to match.

How each brand drills its hubs
The B-G Racing hubs
Thirty-five B-G hubs, all solid non-collapsible and dual drilled for 6 x 70mm and 6 x 74mm, spanning the classic Giulia and Spider through to the current Giulietta and Mito. BG8225 is the standout crossover part, covering five modern Alfas and eight models across Fiat and Lancia. Older classic models each tend to have their own dedicated part, so check the year range on your listing carefully.
The MOMO, OMP and Sparco hubs
Thirty-four hubs across the other three brands. MOMO cover twenty models, collapsible and drilled 6 x 70mm, with MK4035R and MA4029 both crossing into the Fiat and Lancia ranges. OMP list ten solid non-collapsible hubs across the mainstream range, and Sparco carry four kits that are not searchable by brand button, so they are linked here directly.
Browse by brand
The buttons below link to the current range from each brand filtered by make, so they stay accurate as stock changes. They search on "Alfa" rather than "Alfa Romeo" to catch the older listings without "Romeo" in the title. Sparco does not have a working button, its four Alfa kits are linked in the section above. If your car is not listed or you are unsure which part fits, drop a note with the model and year and we will confirm before you spend anything.

A quick release sits between the hub and the wheel and lets you pull the wheel off the column in one action. On a track-prepared Alfa that is useful for access and security. On a stripped interior it makes getting over the sill easier when the wheel is not fighting you.
All four take the same 6 x 70mm pattern as the boss kits on this page, so whichever hub you choose will work with any of these.

Pair your boss kit with a high performance steering wheel
Once the hub is sorted the wheel is your choice. The classic Giulia and Spider suit a smaller diameter wood or suede wheel, while the modern Giulietta and Mito take well to a deeper dish. These are the ones I would look at first.

Every wheel we sell is drilled 6 x 70mm, so any of them will bolt to any of the hubs above. The real decision is diameter and dish, which changes how heavy the steering feels and how close the rim sits to your chest.
Final thoughts
Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia ran as one engineering group for most of the modern range, and the hub catalogue shows it plainly: BG8225 alone spans five Alfas, six Fiats and two Lancias. If you drive one of those cars, this page and the Fiat guide are worth checking together.
If you are not sure which part fits, or the model on your car is not on the list, drop us a line with the registration. I will confirm the right kit before you order anything.
