The BG4921 is a bolt-on quick release system that lets you pull the steering wheel off the column without tools. B-G made it from billet aluminium with a push-pin mechanism that stops it unlocking on its own, so there is no risk of the wheel disengaging accidentally during use.
It is multi-drilled to fit both 6x70mm and 6x74mm PCD bolt patterns. That means it works straight off the shelf with Momo, Sparco and OMP wheels at the 70mm pattern, and with Nardi, Personal and similar 74mm-pattern wheels too. Most bolt-on quick release units only cover one PCD, so this one removes the compatibility question.
The system sits between the steering wheel and the boss kit and brings the wheel 60mm closer to you. That is a meaningful change in driving position, and if you are fitting a quick release for the first time you may find it worth revisiting the seat position afterwards. Wiring for a horn push button is included.
One thing to have ready before ordering: you also need a car-specific steering wheel boss kit. The BG4921 connects the quick release to the column, but it is the boss kit that adapts to your car’s steering shaft. If you are not sure which boss fits your car, ask us and we will look it up.
