What came in
The delivery covers the four things a driver needs under a helmet: the suit, the boots, the gloves and the underwear. Both brands are in there across the range, from club level kit to the lighter, pricier pieces.
The one we were keenest to get on the shelf is the OMP First boot. It is new for 2021, approved to FIA 8856-2018 and SFI 3.3/5, made in suede with a single velcro strap over the laces, on a lighter sole with a rounded heel so your foot rolls easily between the pedals. It is the kind of boot that makes a proper approved set affordable for a first season.

Choosing between Sparco and OMP
Both are Italian, both make the full set, and both do a good job at every price point. The honest difference is fit. The two brands cut suits and boots differently, and one will simply suit your shape and your feet better than the other.
That is why Garreth always says try before you buy. With this much stock in, it is a good time to come in and put both on back to back.
Check the approval before you race
Suits, underwear, gloves and boots are all homologated to FIA 8856, and 8856-2018 is the newer version of the standard. The approval is on the label of each piece, and it belongs to that garment, so check each item against what your championship asks for.
