Exclusive Red Design OMP Wheels Arrive In-Store: The Targa 330 And WRC
Steering wheel news, July 2024
Two OMP steering wheels in an exclusive black and red design have just arrived for our showroom display. Both have a black suede rim with red stitching, a red centre stripe at the top and a red OMP logo on the bottom spoke.
The two wheels are the OMP Targa 330, which is flat, and the OMP WRC, which is larger and dished. Between them they cover the two driving positions most people are trying to get to, and you can hold both side by side in the showroom.

What is on this page
The black and red design
Both wheels share the same finish. The rim is black suede, which grips well in gloves, and the stitching around the rim is red. There is a red band at twelve o’clock, which doubles as a straight-ahead marker, and the OMP logo on the bottom spoke is picked out in red against the black aluminium.
It is a subtle design. From a distance the wheels look plain black, and the red only shows once you are in the seat.
The two OMP models
The OMP Targa 330 is a 330mm flat dish wheel with three black aluminium spokes and an anatomical oval grip. OMP designed it for circuit racing and saloon or rally use. Flat dish means the rim sits right on the boss, so it suits a car where the column already brings the wheel to the right place.
The OMP WRC is a little larger at 350mm, and it has a 70mm dish. That pulls the rim 70mm closer to you than a flat wheel on the same boss, which helps in cars where the column sits high and forward, as it does in many rally cars and older saloons.
The bigger diameter also makes the WRC a good choice in a roomier cabin, where a small wheel can feel twitchy.

Both come with a horn push and both fit standard OMP, Momo and Sparco type boss kits, so you need a boss kit made for your car. Garreth’s advice for choosing between them is simple: sit in the car, put your hands where you want them, and measure how far short of the standard wheel they fall. That gap tells you whether you need the flat Targa or the dished WRC. Our guides to flat dish and semi dish steering wheels go into more detail.
