The OMP Carbon S Steering Wheel Is On Display At GSM Performance

The OMP Carbon S steering wheel has gone on display in our showroom. It is a 320mm flat dish wheel with a suede rim and three carbon fibre spokes, and it sits at the top of OMP's range of competition wheels.
It is on our OMP steering wheel display alongside three other OMP models, so you can hold it, compare it and see the carbon up close. When it went on display it was also ready for immediate dispatch or collection.

What is on this page
What the Carbon S is
The Carbon S is OMP’s competition wheel with carbon fibre spokes in place of aluminium. It is a 320mm flat dish wheel with three spokes and a suede rim, and it has a thick oval grip section, 37 by 27mm, which fills the hand.
A yellow marker at the top of the rim shows where straight ahead is without having to think about it, which helps when the car is sideways or you are feeding in lock. The horn push is included in the box.
What the carbon spokes change
The spokes are autoclaved carbon fibre, and the rim is shaped as an oval so your fingers wrap round it, with the spokes contoured to give more leverage. Next to an aluminium spoked wheel of the same size, what you notice is the stiffness and the way the wheel passes vibration back to your hands, as well as the look.
Drivers who care about that feel care about it a lot, and it is a genuine preference, not something a spec sheet settles. Garreth's advice is to hold one before you decide, which is exactly why it is on the display.
Fitting and use
The Carbon S uses the standard six bolt, 70mm PCD pattern, so OMP, Sparco and MOMO boss kits all fit. You still need the boss kit that is specific to your car, and we can match one if you tell us what you drive.

Our OMP steering wheel display
The showroom has a dedicated OMP steering wheel display with four different models on it, including the Carbon S. Being able to hold them one after another is the easiest way to decide on diameter, dish and grip material.
If the Carbon S is more than you need, the OMP WRC and the OMP Targa are the standard alternatives. Each has its own diameter and design to suit different cockpits, and they come with a choice of grip material and colour.
