New To Our Range: The MOMO Mod.07 Black Edition Steering Wheel

The MOMO Mod.07 Black Edition is a new addition to our steering wheel range. It is listed on the website for the first time, and we are looking forward to getting one into the showroom to show it off.
It is an all-black take on a classic deep dish MOMO shape, and it sits beside the Prototipo Black Edition we already have on display. We have also updated our whole MOMO steering wheel range for 2022. Here is the new wheel, and the rest of the range.

The Mod.07 Black Edition
The Mod.07 Black Edition is made from premium Italian black microfibre, with black cut-out aluminium spokes and a Black Edition logo laser etched on the right-hand spoke. The horn button is a matt and gloss black MOMO arrow, so there is no colour anywhere on the wheel.
It measures 350mm across, with a 30mm round grip and a 70mm dish, and it weighs 1.2kg. MOMO makes it by hand in Italy.
The Mod.07 was first designed for motorsport, particularly saloon and rally cars, where the deeper dish brings the rim closer to the driver. It looks good enough to suit a road car too, and it is a way of freshening up an interior without losing the car’s character.
It uses the common 6x70mm bolt pattern, so it fits boss kits from MOMO, OMP and Sparco. Our guide to steering wheel dish explains how much a 70mm dish changes your driving position.
The Prototipo Black Edition
If you like the look but want something shallower, the Prototipo Black Edition is the alternative. It has the same idea: black cut-out aluminium spokes, the Prototipo Black Edition name laser etched on the spokes, and the matt and gloss black MOMO arrow horn button. The grip has a leather finish.
It is also 350mm across, but with a 39mm shallow dish, so it sits further from you than the Mod.07. We have one on the display in the showroom, ready to look at and hold, and the engraved detail looks even better up close.

Our MOMO range, updated for 2022
We have been through every MOMO steering wheel on the site for the 2022 season, with the dimensions and materials of each wheel, updated prices and new images. We have also added the B-G Racing quick release boss as a bundle item at the checkout, and it suits all our MOMO wheels.
The range covers different diameters and dish depths, several grip materials and colours. The Model 08 is a deep dish wheel with a choice of suede or leather grip and black or blue spokes. At the classic end, the Heritage wheels have wooden rims, three-spoke designs and the old MOMO logo, which suit a classic car with a period interior.
Garreth’s advice is to sit in the car and measure how far the current wheel is from you before choosing a dish depth.
