New MOMO Prototipo Steering Wheel: Now In A Smaller 320mm Size

MOMO has released a new version of the Prototipo with a smaller 320mm diameter, and it has just been added to our MOMO range. It comes with black or silver spokes, and both versions have white stitching on the black leather rim.
The Prototipo is one of MOMO's classic three spoke designs, and the new size gives it a tighter, quicker feel in the car. Here is what is new, and where it sits in our MOMO range.

What is on this page
The Prototipo in 320mm
The Prototipo is a classically styled, three spoke wheel with a shallow dish. Until now we listed it in larger diameters. The new 320mm version keeps the same look in a smaller wheel, with a shallow dish listed at 37mm.
You can choose black or silver aluminium spokes. Both have a black leather rim with white stitching, which lifts the detail on the wheel, and a MOMO horn push is included.
The Prototipo is designed with classic and retro cars in mind and suits road use. It has a 6 bolt, 70mm PCD fitting, which works with most boss kits, including those made by MOMO, OMP and Sparco. You will still need the boss kit made for your car, and Garreth’s advice is to order it at the same time as the wheel so everything fits first time.

The Prototipo range
With the 320mm added, the Prototipo now comes in three diameters on our website, with several colour options. The smaller the wheel, the less you have to move your hands for the same amount of steering, but a larger wheel is lighter to turn in a car without power steering. It is worth thinking about which matters more in your car.
Our whole MOMO range has been updated for the 2022 season, with the dimensions and materials of each wheel, new images and current prices. We have also added the B-G Racing Quick Release Steering Wheel Boss as a bundle item at the checkout on the MOMO wheels.
MOMO in the showroom
There are four MOMO steering wheels on display in the showroom this year. The one we point people to most often is the Prototipo Black Edition, which has black leather, black cut out aluminium spokes with “Prototipo Black Edition” laser etched on them, and a matt and gloss black MOMO Arrow horn button.
For classic cars there is also the MOMO heritage range, with period styling, wooden rims on some models and the older MOMO logo.
