New MOMO Retro Steering Wheel: A Period Look For Classic Cars

MOMO has released the Retro, and it has just joined our MOMO steering wheel range. It is made as a replacement or upgrade for classic European, domestic or tuner cars, and it has the look to match.
The rim is black leather with white stitching, and the hardware is hidden so nothing distracts from the black and chrome horn button in the centre. Here is what the new wheel offers, and where it sits in the range.

What the Retro is
The Retro is 360mm across with a shallow dish of only 40mm. The rim is black leather with white stitching, which gives it a period correct look, and there are anatomic grooves on the back of the rim for your fingers, for extra grip and comfort.
The spokes are brushed aluminium. On the front, the design covers the six pre-drilled holes around the horn button, so you see a clean centre with the black and chrome button and no bolt heads.
It uses a 6 bolt, 70mm PCD fitting, which works with most popular boss kits, including those from MOMO, OMP and Sparco. You still need the boss kit made for your car, and Garreth’s advice is to sort that at the same time as the wheel.

Our MOMO range for 2022
We updated our whole MOMO steering wheel range this year. Each listing gives the dimensions and materials of the wheel, with new images and current prices. We also added the B-G Racing Quick Release Steering Wheel Boss as a bundle item at the checkout on the MOMO wheels.

Other MOMO wheels for classic cars
If the Retro is not quite the look you want, the MOMO heritage range is the place to start. These are classic three spoke designs, some with wooden rims, and they carry the older MOMO logo you only find on the heritage wheels. They finish off a period interior well.
In the showroom we have four MOMO wheels on display. The one we show people most is the Prototipo Black Edition, a classic shape with black cut out spokes, laser etched lettering and a matt and gloss black MOMO Arrow horn button.
