We have put together a retro racewear bundle around the OMP Classic race suit, the size 56 Classic we have on display in the showroom. It comes with OMP Carrera leather race shoes and OMP Dijon gloves, picked because all three share the same period look.
For a limited time the display suit is 15% off. Alongside it, we have also made up three new OMP bundles for 2024 in black, sized for smaller, medium and larger drivers.

What is on this page
The OMP Classic race suit
The Classic is OMP's two layer suit with a Seventies design, down to the two vertical stripes on the chest. The look is period, but the suit is homologated to the current FIA 8856-2018 standard, which is what matters at scrutineering.
It has a fitted belt and discreet side pockets, and the fabric is breathable Nomex with a soft knitted collar. It is made for historic and classic racers who want the car and the driver to look like the same era.
Shoes and gloves to match
A modern boot and a black glove look wrong next to a Seventies suit, so we matched it with two more OMP retro pieces.
The Carrera is a mid cut race shoe with a full leather upper, a soft knit Nomex inner and a handcrafted sole that resists oil and fuel. It fastens with laces and a Velcro strap. The Dijon gloves are Nomex with suede on the palm and fingers for grip, and a shorter elasticated cuff, closer to how gloves were made when these cars were new. In the bundle they come in cream and brown.
All three pieces are approved to FIA 8856-2018. Garreth’s advice for historic events is still to check your championship’s rules for underwear, balaclava and socks, as those need to meet the standard too.

Three new OMP bundles for 2024
For drivers who want a modern set, we have also made up three new OMP bundles of suit, boots and gloves, all in black. They use the same kit, split into size bands for smaller, medium and larger drivers, so the sizes in each bundle go together.
We keep the pieces on display in the showroom in black, in a range of sizes you can try on. The individual items are also listed on their own, where more colours are available.
