OMP First Evo and First Elle: the 2025 race suits
OMP revised the First Evo and First Elle for the 2025 season. The new suits carry a two-colour design down the sides and across the knees. Both use two-layer construction approved to FIA 8856-2018, with a choice of standard adult or women's cut.
Garreth's starting point is the same for either suit: choose the fit you can sit and drive in comfortably. Cameron checks the measurements against the relevant OMP chart before choosing a size, because the Evo and Elle use different patterns.
First Evo or First Elle?
The First Elle uses a pattern shaped for women through the chest, waist and hips. The First Evo uses OMP's standard adult pattern. Compare the measurements on the two charts before deciding which one suits your build.

The OMP First Evo
The OMP First Evo sits towards the entry end of the range, with an aramid outer layer and a honeycomb inner lining. OMP describes the revised inner material as lighter and more breathable. The floating armholes and stretch inserts at the back and crotch allow movement when you reach for the wheel or settle into the seat.
Ultra-flat seams, an integrated belt and two pockets complete the construction. Garreth would put fit ahead of colour when narrowing down a suit. Try the driving position before settling on a matching outfit.
Check the clothing requirements for your event before buying. The First Evo has two layers; if you are comparing it with a three-layer option such as the Tecnica Evo, check the individual suit's approval and construction as well as its place in the range.
The OMP First Elle
The First Elle retains the two-layer construction, honeycomb lining and movement panels, with a women's cut through the hips, chest and shoulders. Its size range runs from 38 to 50.
Cameron would check waist and hip measurements alongside the chest and height. A familiar clothing size is a starting point. Check the room through the body when you sit down and reach forward.

The two-colour design and matching kit
The 2025 design carries contrasting colour down the sides and across the knees. The Evo range includes black and white, navy and cyan, navy and fluorescent orange, anthracite and fluorescent yellow, and silver with anthracite. The Elle choices are black and fuchsia, black and white, or navy with light blue.
The OMP First boots and First gloves let you build a coordinated set. Each item has its own sizing and approval, so choose the boots and gloves individually as well as checking the colours.

Getting the size right
Use the chart for the particular suit. European race-suit numbers do not translate neatly into everyday clothing sizes, especially when moving between the standard adult and women's patterns.
- Send us your height, chest and inside-leg measurements. Include waist and hips for the Elle, and tell us if you are broad across the shoulders.
- Allow for the race underwear you will wear with the suit. Check how the suit sits when seated with your arms forward, as well as how it feels standing up.
- Check the suit, boots and gloves against the requirements of your event before completing the set.
