OMP KS-2X Art And KS-3X Art Kart Suits Now Available

Two OMP kart suits from the new Art range are now on the site: the KS-2X Art and the KS-3X Art. Both are fully printed suits, so the graphics are part of the fabric, not stitched-on panels, and both are approved to FIA 8877-2022, the current FIA standard for karting clothing.
They sit at different points in OMP's range. The KS-2X Art is the lighter, higher specification suit. The KS-3X Art keeps the same approval and printed look with a simpler build and more colour choices.

What the Art suits are
OMP’s Art suits are printed all over. On a conventional suit the design is built from coloured panels sewn together; on an Art suit the whole pattern is printed, so there are fewer seams. That saves weight and takes away the stitched joins that can rub over a long day in the seat.
Both suits carry FIA 8877-2022 approval, the FIA standard for karting clothing. If your championship asks for that approval, either suit meets it, so the choice comes down to how much you race and what you want from the suit.
The OMP KS-2X Art
The KS-2X Art is the higher specification suit of the two, approved to FIA 8877-2022 Grade 1. It is made from lightweight technical fabrics with a soft knitted inner layer, and the sleeves float through 360 degrees so your arms move freely on the wheel.
Stretch panels at the lower back and crotch let the suit follow you as you move in the seat. We list it in black and yellow, in adult sizes 42 to 62.
The OMP KS-3X Art
The KS-3X Art has a hard-wearing Cordura outer layer and a soft knitted lining. It is cut to suit the seated driving position, which cuts down on bunched material, and the arms are fully floating.
Mesh inserts in the legs, crotch and sleeves let heat out, and an elastic panel across the lower back helps the fit. It comes in four colours: black and red, black and blue, black and fluorescent yellow, and navy and red, in adult sizes 42 to 62.

If you race regularly and want the lightest suit, the KS-2X Art is the one to look at. If you want the approval and the printed look with more colours to pick from, the KS-3X Art does the job. Garreth’s advice is to check your championship’s clothing rules first, then choose on fit and colour.
