OMP Race Suits Updated For 2023

Our OMP race suits have been updated for 2023. Every suit listing now carries the current FIA approval and safety information, new detailed images, and a set of recommended bundle items that come from the same OMP range as the suit.

What we have updated
Each OMP suit now lists its current FIA approval and the safety information that goes with it, so it is clear what the suit can be used for before ordering. New, more detailed images show the construction and the details close up.
The bundle items at the checkout have changed too. They are now matched to the suit by range, so the gloves, boots, balaclavas and helmets offered with a suit share its design and can be bought as a set.
How the OMP suits compare
OMP's chart lays the range out clearly. Every suit on it is approved to FIA 8856-2018, the current racewear standard. What changes from one to the next is the number of layers, how light or comfortable OMP rates it, and the size range.
The One family is the lightest, the Tecnica suits are rated for comfort, and the First suits cover the most sizes.

The exception in our range is the OMP Proban suit, the only OMP suit we sell without FIA approval. It is a flame retardant suit for events that do not ask for an FIA suit, and for crew work. The OMP First S in the showroom
The OMP First S is in the showroom in black, in sizes from 44 to 64, ready to try on. It is a two layer FIA 8856-2018 suit that OMP rates for comfort. We have a changing room in store, so the best way to get the size right is to book a visit and try it.
Building a matching set
Because the bundle items now come from the same range as the suit, putting a set together is simple. Take the OMP Tecnica Hybrid: the matching gloves and boots share its design, and we suggest the OMP GP-R helmet to finish it off. All of those items are FIA approved, and they are all attached to the suit at the checkout so the set can be bought in one go.
Suit, gloves and boots each carry their own approval, so it is worth checking every item against the rules for your championship.
Are OMP race suits FIA approved?
The suits in the OMP chart are approved to FIA 8856-2018. The OMP Proban suit we sell is the exception and is not FIA approved.
