The OMP Proban race suit, single layer flame resistant Proban. Part number IA0-1901-A01-071.
What it is approved to, and what that rules out
SFI 3.2A/1. That is an American standard and it is not FIA 8856-2018. If your event requires an FIA homologated suit, and most licensed circuit competition in this country does, this will not satisfy a scrutineer.
Tell us the series you are running and we will point you at the right thing. We would rather do that than have you turned away at signing on.
Where it does belong
Pit lane and crew work, track days, and events that do not require FIA homologation. Proban is a flame retardant treatment applied to cotton, so it breathes far better than a multi layer Nomex suit and is considerably more pleasant to spend a day in when you are working rather than driving.
Cut to match the rest of the OMP range, so a crew in these and a driver in an OMP suit look like one team, which matters more than it sounds at a meeting.
Sizing
Tell us your height, chest and inside leg. A crew suit should let you work in it rather than fit like a driver’s suit.
