Our Top Helmet Bags In-Store And In-Stock

Helmet accessories, November 2025

A helmet is tough, but the visor and the paint are not, and most helmet damage happens between events: in the boot, on the pit wall or in a crowded garage. A padded bag is the cheapest protection a helmet can have.

We keep helmet bags from Bell, Sparco, OMP and Stilo in the showroom, from simple padded bags to ones that carry a HANS device too, and one that dries your kit after a wet session. Here are the ones we would point people towards.

  • Helmet bags from Bell, Sparco, OMP and Stilo in the showroom
  • Single helmet bags and helmet plus HANS bags
  • The Sparco DryTech bag circulates air to dry a helmet and HANS
  • The OMP bag measures 38 x 29 x 27 cm
  • Pocket space for a balaclava, gloves or a spare visor

Why a helmet needs a bag

A padded bag stops scratches to the shell and the visor, keeps dust out, and gives you somewhere to keep the small things that go with a helmet: a balaclava, a spare visor, a cloth. A bag with room for a HANS device also keeps the tethers from tangling and stops the device being knocked about on the way to an event.

The choice comes down to what you carry. A single helmet needs a single bag. If you run a HANS or another FHR device, a bag that takes both keeps them together.

Bell helmet bags

The Bell Helmet Bag is a padded soft bag for one helmet, with a soft inner lining to cushion the shell and zipped pockets for a balaclava or ear seals. A strap on the back slides over the handle of a wheeled bag, which helps when you are carrying a full kit bag too.

The Bell Helmet and HANS Bag takes a helmet and a typical size FHR device together in one shaped compartment. It is the most compact bag in Bell’s range that carries both.

Sparco helmet bags

The Sparco Helmet Bag is a clamshell bag that zips closed around a full-face helmet, with a soft lining, a second pocket for gloves, a balaclava or a spare visor, two handles and a shoulder strap. It is simple and it does the job.

The Sparco DryTech Helmet and HANS Dryer Bag is the one that stands out. It holds a full-face helmet and a HANS device, and it has a USB-powered system that circulates air through the helmet and around the HANS to dry them after a wet or hot session, without the damage that direct heat can do. The outer is water-resistant. For carrying racewear as well, the Sparco Trip Kit Bag has room for a helmet and clothing with pockets for the smaller items.

OMP and Stilo

The OMP Helmet Bag is padded, measures 38 x 29 x 27 cm and has a zipped side pocket. It is big enough for most helmets with a spare visor alongside.

The Stilo Helmet and FHR Bag carries a helmet and an FHR device. It has a heavy-duty outer, a padded inner with a velvet lining to protect the shell, and mesh panels on the sides to let air through, which helps stop a damp helmet going mouldy. It has carry handles and an adjustable shoulder strap.

Choosing the right one

For one helmet and occasional track days, the Sparco, Bell or OMP single bag is enough. If you race with a HANS, go for the Bell Helmet and HANS Bag or the Stilo Helmet and FHR Bag. If you race in the wet or drive long stints, the Sparco DryTech is worth the extra for getting your kit dry before the next session.

Garreth’s advice is to bring your helmet in and try it in the bag, particularly with a larger helmet or one with a peak. If you are still choosing the helmet itself, our helmet sizing guide is the place to start.

Yes, in a bag made for both, such as the Bell Helmet and HANS Bag, the Stilo Helmet and FHR Bag or the Sparco DryTech.

It circulates air through the helmet and around the HANS device to dry them after a session, powered by USB.

It measures 38 x 29 x 27 cm and fits most helmets with a spare visor.

Yes. We keep helmet bags in the showroom, so you can try your helmet in one.
