We have just finished updating all our Sparco race boots for the 2023 season. Every listing now has current prices, FIA approvals and safety features.
There is news too. Sparco has released a brand new top level boot, the Prime Evo, and a new fluorescent colour for two favourites: green for the Slalom and yellow for the X-Light. We like the look of the Prime Evo a lot, with its single wide strap across the front and subtle double stripe.

The new Sparco Prime Evo
The Prime Evo is Sparco's new professional mid-ankle boot for 2023, and Sparco developed it to be the lightest boot in its range. They quote 210g for a UK 8, EU 42.
The upper is soft kangaroo leather, and underneath is a real carbon fibre sole plate running from toe to heel, visible through a window in a thin, grippy rubber sole. The idea is as little as possible between foot and pedal, for more feel. It is approved to FIA 8856-2018 and comes in five colours: black, white, red, grey and navy blue.

Two new colours
The Sparco Slalom now comes in black with fluorescent green: green stitching down the sides and a green Sparco name on the side and front, with black suede and black laces for the rest.
The Slalom is a suede boot with Sparco embroidery, a leather insole and a slim rubber sole that resists oil and fuel and is anti-slip and anti-static. We have it in black in the showroom to try on.
The Sparco X-Light now comes in black with fluorescent yellow leather across the back and a smaller panel at the front, and white stripes down the sides. The X-Light is a low cut boot in thin, light calfskin leather. It has no tongue: an elasticated internal sock takes its place, which improves comfort and fit and saves weight. A fast side lace system gives a close fit, and abrasion resistant leather round the heel helps it last.
The rest of the Sparco boot range
Sparco’s entry level boots all carry FIA 8856-2018 and fire retardant linings. The Slalom Plus takes its lead from the Slalom, with a full suede upper or suede with fabric inserts, a newer insole and scuff resistant heels and toes.
The Skid and Skid Plus have abrasion resistant inserts on the sides and heel, an overlapping tongue and tough Kevlar lace loops. The Skid Plus has a shock absorbing, anti-vibration sole; the Skid has a thin textured rubber sole.
At the top, the X-Light Plus is a high-top version of the X-Light idea in kangaroo and synthetic leather, again with an internal sock in place of a tongue.
