Sparco Club X1 Carbon Helmets Are In The Showroom
Helmet news, September 2022
We now have two Sparco Club X1 Carbon helmets on display in the showroom, ready to see and try on. They are here in medium and XL, and other sizes are on the website.
The carbon finish looks sharp in the flesh, but the thing to understand about the Club X1 is what it is approved for. It is an ECE approved helmet for track days and club events, not an FIA helmet, so here is where it fits and what to look at if your events need more.
- Two Sparco Club X1 Carbon helmets in the showroom, medium and XL
- Full face, with an ATM composite shell and a carbon finish
- ECE approved, for track days and events that accept ECE helmets
- Not FIA approved, so not for FIA homologated competition
- Vents at the chin, brow and top of the head
- Our Sparco helmet range is updated for 2022

What is on this page
What the Club X1 Carbon is
The Club X1 Carbon is a full face helmet with a shell made from Sparco’s Advanced Thermo Material, or ATM, a composite. The carbon look is a finish on that shell, and it is what catches the eye when you see the helmet on the counter. There are vents at the chin, the brow and the top of the head, which keep air moving at track day pace.
There is also a cheaper Club X1 without the carbon finish, in black or white, built on the same ATM shell.
ECE approved, not FIA
Every Club X1 carries ECE approval, not FIA approval. That makes it suitable for track days and club events that accept ECE helmets and do not ask for a fireproof helmet. It is not a helmet for FIA homologated motorsport.
Garreth’s advice is simple: read the regulations for your event before you buy a helmet. If they ask for an FIA standard, the Club X1 is the wrong helmet, however good it looks.

Our Sparco helmet range for 2022
We have updated all of our Sparco helmets this year with current FIA approvals, prices, sizes and colour options, and added the new 2022 models. The range covers open face and full face helmets, with approvals for fast road and track day use or for FIA homologated events, in sizes from XS to XXXL. At the top sit carbon fibre helmets such as the Prime RF-10W Supercarbon.
In the showroom we have Sparco FIA helmets on display too. The full face Air Pro RF-5W has a fibreglass shell reinforced with carbon-Kevlar, an adjustable visor, a removable flame retardant lining and provision for a drinks system.
The open face RJ has a fibreglass shell reinforced with carbon-Kevlar, removable linings and a white peak, and can take a microphone boom later. It comes in seven sizes, including a medium-large. Our open face FIA helmet guide explains the approvals.
