What we have updated
The update covers the three pieces most drivers need: the suit, the gloves and the shoes. Fireproof suits and gloves are required in most forms of motorsport, and so are race shoes, which protect the feet and grip the pedals.
Each Alpinestars listing now shows the current FIA approval, along with new images and more detail. The bundle items are picked to suit each product, and many of them are the matching pieces from the same range.
New from Alpinestars for 2022
The Atom is Alpinestars' new entry level race suit for 2022. It meets FIA 8856-2018, with higher levels of heat and flame protection than the older standard.
It is a two layer suit, with an aramid twill outer shell and an aramid lining. Pre-curved arms and legs and stretch panels give a close fit that is comfortable in the driving position without restricting movement.
The Tech 1-ZX V2 gloves have been redesigned and are now homologated to FIA 8856-2018. They sit at the top of the Alpinestars glove range, with the improved flame and heat protection the new standard asks for.

The Alpinestars SP V2 race boots are in the showroom for the first time, in black, in sizes EU 42, 43, 44 and 45.5. They are ready to try on, send out or collect, and there are more colours and sizes on our online store.
Garreth’s advice is to book a time before you come in, so we can have your sizes out ready. Trying the suit, gloves and boots together is the best way to check they all work in the driving position.
