The Complete BC Racing Coilover Guide for Alfa Romeo

Before you pick a kit for a Giulia, check whether your car has EDC. BC Racing lists the Giulia 952 in four separate entries because the suspension works differently between EDC-equipped cars and those without it. Pick the wrong listing and the kit will not be compatible with your damper electronics. Confirm the spec first, then pick the part number.

Outside the Giulia, the range is clean. Thirteen other Alfa Romeo models are covered across thirteen listings, all BR series apart from the GTV V6, which also comes in RM. Fourteen listings in total.

Which BC series fits an Alfa Romeo

All Alfa Romeo listings in the BC range are BR. The GTV V6 (1996 to 2006) is the one exception, listed in both BR and RM. The RM gives you more damper adjustability. Every other Alfa is BR only.

What to check before you order

The one check that matters on a modern Alfa Romeo: confirm whether your Giulia has EDC before going to a product page.

Alfa Romeo’s DNA system includes electronically controlled dampers on many Giulia variants. If yours has EDC, use the EDC listing. The non-DDC kits will not work with the electronics correctly, and the EDC kits will not fit a car without that system. Your Giulia’s specification sheet, or the sticker in the door jamb, will confirm it.

The Giulia RWD (W/ EDC) is listed twice under different part numbers. If you need help confirming which of the two suits your setup, drop us an email or click to open a chat.

For the GTV, the V6 and the four-cylinder have different chassis codes and different kits: GF-916C1 for the V6, GH-91620G for the four-cylinder. Check the engine before ordering. For the 147, 156, 159 and GT there is one BR kit per car and no variants to pick between.

BC Racing coilovers for the Alfa Romeo Giulia

Five Giulia kits on the 952 chassis. The Quadrifoglio (2015+) is a separate listing because it has a different setup to the standard Giulia. Within the standard Giulia, the split is EDC versus non-DDC, with one RWD and one AWD listing on the non-DDC side. The two identically-titled entries for the Giulia RWD (W/ EDC) are different spec kits. If you want to know which of those two is right for your car, drop us an email or click to open a chat and we will confirm it.

BC Racing coilovers for the Stelvio, Giulietta and Mito

Three kits. The Stelvio is the Q4 AWD only (2017+, chassis 949). The Giulietta (2009 to 2020, chassis ABA-940) is front-wheel drive. The Mito (2008 to 2018, chassis 955) is also front-wheel drive. One kit per car, no variants to choose between.

BC Racing coilovers for the GTV, GT and classic range

Six kits covering the older Alfa Romeo range. The GTV (1996 to 2006) splits on engine: the V6 is chassis code GF-916C1, the four-cylinder is GH-91620G. Those are different products, so check the engine before you pick one. The GTV V6 also carries the RM series if you want more adjustability than BR. The 147 and the GT both use the 937 chassis code in BC’s catalogue, but they are separate products on separate pages. The 159 covers both the Sedan and Wagon body styles on the FWD 939 platform. The 156 (932) has one BR kit with no variants.

Final thoughts

Fourteen Alfa Romeo fitments, all on BR. The GTV V6 also comes in RM if you want more adjustability. The Giulia is the one listing where the spec check matters before you order: EDC or non-DDC, and the product title tells you which once you know. Everything else in the range is straightforward.

If you want help confirming the EDC spec on your Giulia, or choosing between the two Giulia RWD EDC kits, call Garreth on 0115 647 8650, drop us an email or click to open a chat.
