The Complete BC Racing Coilover Guide for Peugeot

The first-gen 208 (A9 chassis, 2012 to 2019) has four separate BC Racing listings and none of them cover the same car. BC splits them by body style and variant: 46.6mm front strut for the 3-door, 47mm for the 5-door, 51mm for a general non-GTI fit, and the GTI on its own BR-only kit. If you have a standard 208, the listing title names the strut diameter that applies. Get that right and the rest of the Peugeot range follows the fitment table.

Twenty-three fitments cover the range from the 1991 106 through to the current 408 and 508 SW. Three series: BR across the lot, RM on everything from the 206 onwards, V1 on the older models only. All 23 are FWD, so there are no drive-type variants to sort through.

Which BC series fits your Peugeot

BR covers all 23 Peugeot fitments. RM is available from the 206 (1998 onwards) and runs across most of the post-2000 range. You will not find RM on the 3008 SW, 408, 508 SW, RCZ, Berlingo or the older V1 models. V1 covers five models, all pre-2010: the 106, 306 (which also carries BR), 307, 307 CC and the original 308 generation from 2007 to 2013.

What to check before you order

Three things worth confirming on this range before you go to the part number.

208 strut diameter, first generation. Four kits cover the A9 208 (2012 to 2019). If you are not on the GTI, you have three listings to choose from, each listing a different front strut diameter: 46.6mm (3-door), 47mm (5-door), 51mm (unspecified variant). The strut housing diameter is cast and you cannot swap between them. The listing title tells you which one to use.

207 Euro vs China market. BC Racing lists the 207 twice: a European market version with 51mm strut (2006 to 2012) and a separate Chinese market variant (2008 to 2012). If you are in the UK, you want the Euro listing. The Chinese market 207 is a different car on a slightly different platform.

First-gen 308 is V1 only. The original 308 from 2007 to 2013 carries V1 only. If you want BR or RM on a 308, you need the second-gen T9 (2013 to 2021). Year alone separates them: pre-2013 is V1, 2013 onwards is BR/RM.

BC Racing coilovers for the Peugeot 208

Four listings for the first-gen 208 (A9, 2012 to 2019). The 3-door and 5-door non-GTI variants each have separate listings with different strut housing diameters, and the GTI is on its own BR-only kit. The listing title names the strut diameter: 46.6mm (3-door), 47mm (5-door), 51mm (general non-GTI fit). Confirm which applies to your car before adding to basket.

BC Racing coilovers for the Peugeot 308 range

Five listings cover the 308 family. The second-gen T9 (2013 to 2021) has three separate kits: standard 308 hatch, 308 GTI and 308 SW. The third-gen 308 III GT (P5, 2021 onwards) has a single BR listing. The original 308 from 2007 to 2013 is V1 only. If you want BR or RM on a first-gen 308, you need the T9 generation.

BC Racing coilovers for all other Peugeot models

The wider Peugeot range covers the 207 and 206 (both BR/RM), the crossover and SUV range (2008, 3008 SW, 408, 508 SW), the RCZ sports coupe, the 1007, older classics (106, 306, 307, 307 CC), and the Berlingo LWB. The 207 has two separate listings: Euro market and China market. The 106, 307 and 307 CC are V1 only; the 306 has both BR and V1.

Final thoughts

Twenty-three Peugeot kits, three series, and almost all of them resolve straightforwardly from the fitment table by model and year. The 208 is the one that takes a bit more attention: four listings on the same chassis, split by body style and strut diameter. If you have a first-gen 208 and are not sure which listing fits, measure or check the BC Racing data sheet for your variant before ordering. Everything else on the Peugeot range is a single listing per model.
