The new OMP KS-X
The KS-X is OMP's new kart glove for 2024. It takes its grip from one of OMP's best known race gloves, the One Evo X, and uses the same raised silicone pattern on the palm to hold the wheel.
It is light, with an elasticated wrist closure that keeps the glove snug without bunching. The KS-X is approved to FIA 8877-2022, the FIA standard for karting clothing, and comes in black, white and fluorescent yellow, in sizes XS to XL.
The redesigned KS-4
The KS-4 is OMP’s entry level kart glove, and it has a new look for 2024. The glove’s name now runs down the back, with OMP branding on the thumb, the index finger and the wrist. There are six new colours to choose from.
It keeps what made it a good first glove: elasticated wrists that hold it in place, and suede palms for grip on the wheel. For someone starting out in karting, it is an easy place to begin.

The rest of our OMP kart glove range
Each OMP kart glove uses a different mix of materials on the back and the palm, but they are all built around grip on the wheel. For entry level drivers there are the KS-2 and KS-3, and for wet days OMP make a rainproof glove with a waterproof membrane, which is a real help in a British winter.
In the showroom we have two OMP kart gloves on display to try on: the KS-4 and the KS-2 Art. The KS-2 Art is OMP’s top specification kart glove, with a neoprene insert and an elasticated wrist, and a slash cut design. We have separate listings for the colours and sizes we hold in the showroom.
Garreth’s advice is that a kart glove should feel snug when it is new, because it will give a little with use. Our guide to the best karting gloves for track days and racing compares the options across brands.
