The OMP KS-X kart gloves, homologated to FIA 8877-2022. Part number OMPKB0-2751-A01.
The grip design
The same raised silicone dimple pattern OMP uses on the One Evo X FIA race gloves. It outperforms a flat-printed silicone under damp conditions, which matters more in a kart than in a closed car because there is no windscreen to manage what reaches your hands. Elasticated wrist closure.
Competition versus leisure
FIA 8877-2022 covers competitive outdoor karting. The KS-4 Art uses the same grip design but has no FIA or CIK approval and is designed for indoor leisure karting. If your series requires approved gloves, the KS-X is the right one. If you are doing indoor sessions where approval is not required and you want to spend less, the KS-4 Art is worth looking at.
Sizing and colours
Available in black, white and fluorescent yellow. Sizes XS to XL.
Kart gloves should fit snugly with no excess material at the palm. Loose fabric moves against the wheel and degrades feel. Tell us your hand circumference and we will confirm the size.
Have you written anything about this exact product?
Yes, we have covered this exact product: Discover the Latest OMP KS-4 Kart Suit for 2026, and New for 2026: OMP KS-3 and KS-2X Karting Boots Now Online. That is first-hand coverage from our own builds and showroom, not brochure copy.
What size should I order?
Sizes run from XS to XL. Measure around your palm at the knuckles and go snug: kart steering is all feel, and loose material between you and the wheel costs grip. Junior sizes are in the range for young drivers, and we will happily confirm sizing from a measurement.
Are they legal for competition karting?
These gloves are homologated to FIA 8877-2022, the current FIA karting standard, which is what scrutineers look for in championship karting.
What makes a kart glove different from a race glove?
Grip and abrasion rather than fire. Kart gloves put silicone or reinforced material on the palm for an unassisted wheel and are built to survive contact with tarmac, while car racing gloves are fire-resistant and FIA 8856 homologated. Our racing gloves guide covers the car side if you need both.
