The Complete B-G and MOMO Skoda Steering Wheel Hub Guide
Skoda splits cleanly down the middle, which makes it one of the easier makes to buy for. I am Cameron, I look after the steering wheel side of things at GSM Performance.
B-G cover the old rear engined cars, the 130, the 136 Coupe and the 150, plus the Favorit and the Pick-Up. MOMO pick up everything from the Felicia onward. There is almost no overlap, so the year of your car decides the brand before you have chosen anything.
The number worth remembering is MK8017R. That single MOMO part fits the Citigo, all three generations of Fabia, both Octavias, the Roomster and the Yeti. Eight of the ten MOMO Skoda listings are the same hub.
The in-car photograph in this guide is an AI illustration, generated from our own OMP product photography so the wheel and its horn button are the real thing.
Why you need a B-G or MOMO boss kit
An aftermarket wheel will not bolt onto a Skoda column on its own. The boss kit is the part that makes it possible, and it does three jobs at once.
It joins two different fittings
Your column has splines. The back of the wheel has a bolt pattern. The hub is the only part that speaks both.
It sets how far the wheel sits
The hub decides the distance from the dash, which changes your reach to the indicator stalks and the clearance over your knees.
Nothing else to buy
The fixing screws, the Allen key and the horn button retaining ring are all in the box, so nothing stops you halfway through the job.
Match the listing to the year rather than the model name, because Skoda reused names across completely different cars. The Felicia is the clearest example: the pre-1995 car takes MK9104 and the 1996 onward car takes ML8014, and they are not interchangeable.
The 150 appears twice as well, once on BG8111 as a solid hub and once on BG8200 as a collapsible one. Read the key features on both before you choose.
Steering wheel installation explained
So how does a Sparco wheel end up on a MOMO hub? Because nearly every aftermarket motorsport wheel is drilled to the same pattern, six bolts on a 70mm circle, written as 6 x 70mm PCD. MOMO, Sparco, OMP, Simoni Racing and the Mountney M-Range all use it. The hub is chosen by your car, the wheel is chosen by you, and nothing locks you into one brand.

How each brand drills its hubs
The Skoda B-G boss kit range
Six B-G Skoda hubs, all at the same money and all dual drilled. This is the complete list, covering the rear engined cars and the Favorit era.
BG8112 is the one that repeats, covering the 136 Coupe, the 1987 to 1994 Favorit and the 1991 to 1995 Pick-Up from a single part. The 150 is the one to read twice, because BG8111 and BG8200 both fit it and only one of them is collapsible.
Our top MOMO Skoda boss kit collection
Ten MOMO Skoda hubs, all collapsible and all drilled 6 x 70mm. This is where every Skoda most people are actually driving lives.
MK8017R does most of the work, covering the Citigo, all three generations of Fabia, both Octavias, the Roomster and the Yeti. That is eight of these ten listings on one part number. The two exceptions are the Felicia, which splits at 1995 between MK9104 and ML8014.

The links below run a live search across the store, so they stay current as the range moves. Between the three brands there are twenty one Skoda hubs. If your car is not showing up, ask, because several of these share a column with a Volkswagen or a Seat listed under those names instead.

A quick release sits between the boss kit and the wheel and lets you pull the wheel off the column in a second. Two reasons people fit them. Getting in and out past a fixed wheel in a caged car is awkward, and a wheel that comes off with you is a wheel nobody can drive away with.
All four take the same 6 x 70mm wheels as everything else on this page, so the wheel you choose further down will fit whichever one you pick.

Pair your boss kit with a high performance steering wheel
Once the hub is sorted the wheel is entirely your choice. These are the ones I would put in a Skoda, and there is a spread of diameter and dish here rather than ten versions of the same thing.
In an Octavia vRS or a Fabia vRS I would go for something close to the diameter the car came with, like the MOMO Mod.07 or the Sparco 345, so the steering does not suddenly get heavy at low speed. In a Favorit or a 130 the Prototipo looks like it belongs and nothing modern comes close.

Every wheel we sell is drilled 6 x 70mm, so any of them will bolt to any of the hubs above. The only real decision is diameter and dish, which changes how heavy the steering feels and how close the rim sits to your chest.
Final thoughts
Skoda is a tidy range once you know it divides at the Felicia, and that one MOMO part answers the question for most of the modern cars. The hub is cheap next to the wheel, and getting it right is a case of matching the year in the listing to your own car.
If you are stuck between the two Felicia listings or the two 150s, drop us a line and ask for me. Send the registration over and I will tell you which hub you need before you spend anything.
