The Complete B-G and MOMO Volvo Steering Wheel Hub Guide
Volvo is one of the few makes on our books with no cross-catalogue overlap at all. Every part in this guide is Volvo specific, no shared hubs with Fiat, Vauxhall or anyone else. That is not typical of the range we cover, most makes intersect somewhere, but Volvo’s columns were engineered in-house and never shared with a joint-venture partner the way Fiat, PSA or GM badges were.
This guide covers 61 boss kits: 45 B-G, 10 MOMO, 5 OMP and 1 Sparco, across the classic 240 and 700 range through to the current C30 and V-series. I am Cameron, and I look after the steering wheel side of things at GSM Performance.
Which boss kit fits your car
An aftermarket wheel will not bolt onto a Volvo column on its own. The boss kit bridges the two, machined to match the spline count and column depth of your specific model and year. The table below is grouped by part number so you can see which listings cover more than one model.

No cross-catalogue overlap on this make, every part here is Volvo specific.
The ten MOMO Volvo listings, covering the 240, 242, 244, 245, 740, 760, 780, 940 and 960, are older-format listings with the model name built into the part code rather than a clean SKU. They are genuine, in-stock, currently sold parts, there is no separate modern MOMO Volvo range replacing them, so if your Volvo is one of these classic saloons and estates this is the correct listing to order from.
Fitting a steering wheel hub
So how does a Sparco wheel end up on a B-G hub? Because nearly every aftermarket motorsport wheel is drilled to the same bolt pattern, six bolts on a 70mm circle, written as 6 x 70mm PCD. MOMO, Sparco, OMP and the Mountney M-Range all use it. The hub is chosen by the car, the wheel is chosen by you, and the two brands never have to match.

Nardi, Personal and Raid.

How each brand drills its hubs
The B-G Racing hubs
Forty-five B-G hubs, all solid non-collapsible and dual drilled for 6 x 70mm and 6 x 74mm, covering the modern range from the C30 and S40 through to the XC90. This is the largest section of the guide and the range where you are most likely to find a current-generation Volvo.
The MOMO, OMP and Sparco hubs
Sixteen hubs across the other three brands. MOMO cover the classic 240, 700 and 900 series plus the C30, ten kits in total, all older-format listings noted above. OMP list five hubs across the mainstream range, and Sparco carry one general Volvo kit.
Browse by brand
The buttons below link to the current range from each brand filtered by make, so they stay accurate as stock changes. All three work cleanly on a plain Volvo search. If your car is not listed or you are unsure which part fits, drop a note with the model and year and we will confirm before you spend anything.

A quick release sits between the hub and the wheel and lets you pull the wheel off the column in one action. On a track-prepared Volvo that is useful for access and security. On a stripped interior it makes getting over the sill easier when the wheel is not fighting you.
All four take the same 6 x 70mm pattern as the boss kits on this page, so whichever hub you choose will work with any of these.

Pair your boss kit with a high performance steering wheel
Once the hub is sorted the wheel is your choice. The classic 240 and 700 series suit a wood rim or a plain suede wheel that matches the era, while the modern C30 and V-series take well to a deeper dish. These are the ones I would look at first.

Every wheel we sell is drilled 6 x 70mm, so any of them will bolt to any of the hubs above. The real decision is diameter and dish, which changes how heavy the steering feels and how close the rim sits to your chest.
Final thoughts
Volvo is a straightforward catalogue by the standards of this series: no shared hubs with other makes, and every listing is genuinely Volvo specific. The one thing worth flagging is the classic MOMO range for the 240 and 700 series, older-format listings but still in stock and current.
If you are not sure which part fits, or the model on your car is not on the list, drop us a line with the registration. I will confirm the right kit before you order anything.
