Have you written anything about this exact product?
Yes, we have covered this exact product: Three CMR Kart Helmets, One Approval: What Does The Extra Money Buy?. That is first-hand coverage from our own builds and showroom, not brochure copy.
How do I get the right size?
Measure around your head at the widest point, about an inch above your eyebrows, and match the centimetres to the size options (this one runs from roughly 52cm to 59cm). The fit should be snug all round with no pressure points, and it should not rotate when you shake your head. Between sizes, try the smaller one first, as linings bed in. Our helmet buying guide covers fit in detail, or call us and we will talk it through.
Is it legal for UK motorsport?
Approvals vary between versions of this helmet, so check the standard printed on the label against the current Motorsport UK list before an event, or ask us and we will confirm for the exact lid we ship you. Our guide to FIA and Snell helmet standards explains what each standard means.
Does it work with a HANS device?
HANS posts are not fitted as standard on this one. Tell us which FHR device you run and we will confirm the right post kit before you order. Our guide on which HANS device you need is the place to start if you are new to them.
Do visor tear-offs fit this helmet?
It depends on the visor system rather than the helmet model name, and not every helmet takes them. Our tear-offs compatibility guide lists which of our helmets accept tear-off posts, or ask us and we will check the exact visor fitted to this one.
How do I look after it?
Store it in its bag away from heat and direct sun, clean the shell with mild soap and water only (solvents attack the finish and the shell), and let the lining air out after use. And the big one: after any significant impact, replace the helmet even if it looks fine, as the protective liner is designed to crush once.
